Like, anything you can think of that they give them for. Culture, grades, etc. And if you can, naming it would be appreciated!

Now I am not fully sure if I can get into UVA or JHU, can you guys please recommend one other school to apply to, just to rest my mind. I really don't wan to go to GMU, too close to home. o ya its gotta in VA.

I'm currently a web developer and for the last year or I've so been thinking about pursuing a career in the medical field. I've been thinking about becoming a MD. I've been so burnt out working in IT and really feel like I can expand my knowledge and careers options as a doctor. I'm turning 26 soon and feel that is a little too late to start especially coming from a design background. Please keep in mind I will have to do my standard 4 year college Pre-Med and then Medical school. What do you think? Seeing as how most people finish there Premed around 22. How long is Pre-Med + Medical school usually? Will I be able to be competitive with these youngster? Anyone in a similar situation who've done the same? Do you recommend doing this part-time or drop everything and going the full bore even at 26? Thanks!

Just wondering. Are community colleges easy to get into? My mom said they barely care about your high school performance really and if you pay them, they’ll take you. How true is this? Do you still get financial aid for them if you qualify?

I graduated a couple years back from DeVry University with a B.S in Computer Information Systems and my career is really coming off. I made a search on this site for thoughts on the school and they have been mostly negative. I disagree! I worked in some major schools (USC, Pepperdine) and I must say that I am very pleased with the education I received. I am now working on my MBA through their Keller Graduate system,

Anyone else with great results? Any employers that agree/disagree with the reputation of this school?

My mom just called and she said she is booking a trip to Italy for next year during spring break. However, since I'm a first year student at college (and my college is really competitive), I don't know if there is going to be a lot of tests or projects due the week after spring break. Should I go with her? The trip will take the week. Did you have a lot of homeworks during spring break? Do you think that I will mess up my grades if I go?

I am 19 and currently applying for university. I am on the access course which i kind of a mature student route to university. The thing is i have had no work experience (terrible i no), and i was wandering if this will effect the universities decision in accepting me. I have done various college courses since i left school, and never thought about getting a job. Should i lie and say i have had experience (i.e worked in this bar for 6 month etc) or should i just tell the truth...

I have looked up quite a few times on the Internet, but I kept receving Marquette's Law school pop up on the search results, they are not even in the top 100 in terms of law schools, but they are 3rd in top tier and have the only National Sports Law Institute. The other one - Loyola in Los Angeles has a sports law institute also, but that's about it.

I am starting my schedule for Spring 2007 and I want to take 19 hours but all my friends are telling me that it's suicide. The classes that I'm taking are pre-requisite courses.

Anatomy and Physiology and Lab
Freshman English II
Speech
Psychology
American History
College Algebra

Should I get an override to take 19 hours or just take a class out? Need some advise please...thank you.

I am a Junior in Highschool, and I have done excellent on the ACT (33), the PSAT (211, that's 98 percentile) the ASVAB (99th percentile), as well as a 4.0 GPA and many AP classes. I also participate in many extracirricular activites and all that. Lots of colleges do send me letters and such, but is there anyway for me to report my scores and have more colleges see me? How can I get my name out there? THANKS!

Yo. If a teacher says that your essay has to be 6 pages long, and mine goes on to the 6th page, but is not a full 6 pages, will I get a lot of points taken off?
