I am 19 and currently applying for university. I am on the access course which i kind of a mature student route to university. The thing is i have had no work experience (terrible i no), and i was wandering if this will effect the universities decision in accepting me. I have done various college courses since i left school, and never thought about getting a job. Should i lie and say i have had experience (i.e worked in this bar for 6 month etc) or should i just tell the truth...

Definitely tell the truth. You should tell them that you have taken various courses that have helped you develop your knowledge and skills. University admissions officers will like to hear that. If you lie about your work experience, admissions officers may find out and deny your admission, or they may not, but you will know that you were not truthful and will have to live with that ethical dilemma for years to come. Tell the truth - there is nothing wrong with it.

Have you done any volunteer work, at school or church? Many do, but don't consider that as work.
I would not lie; that's the worst way to get accepted. Be truthful; tell them how eager you are to learn....sounds like you really are!
Note: Brush up on your spelling and grammar; many applications are tossed in the trash if the proper English isn't used.

I would not lie completelty but exxagerate a bit if you lie now you may be tempted into being a serial liar on job references etc etc. I use to make stuff up but got cuaght sooner or later small mistakes lead to bigger mistakes and during your future life mate they will find out. Its best to add a bit of spice to your creddentials but do not make a big lie its not good be honest fair and truthfull as you are only cheating yourself. Wherver your applying good luck enjoy and have a good fair and honest future the worlds your oyster thank you

NEVER lie!!!!!!!! I know people that forgot about a detail and after their resume was researched, they got fired. So lying would be worse than forgetting.

Better off to tell the truth. Lies seem to come back and bite you.
