I was looking at collegeboard.com and noticed they gave you an idea of what colleges look for in freshman applicants. Are they pretty accurate?

i studied at 2 colleges in Asia and messed up because i was too disillusioned with the people and classes here. i've been trying to transfer to several universities in the States to get my life back on track, but it seems none are interested in giving me another chance. i'm already 22 and it's depressing to wake up and realize i'm stuck on pause.

I was wondering if it is possible to go to a physician assistant school with a undergrad nursing major? Of course, I would take all the prerequisite classes to get in. Would this increase or decrease my chances of getting in with this major? What do they look for?

I am applying to 6 different grad schools, and each application asks me to list all other grad schools I am applying to. Will putting down all 5 other schools put me at a disatvantage? I mention that I feel I am a good fit for each of these schools in my personal statement, and I don't want it to look as if I don't care which school I get into or which professors I work with (I am applying to a History Program).

My BEST friend got accepted into Harvard & she's going to major in English. We're practically sisters. We live nextdoor to eachother and there isn't a moment when we're not together. I'm just as smart as she is, but I didn't apply to Harvard because I want to go to school for Art [I don't like Harvard's programs for Art]. Could anyone tell me any schools relatively close to Harvard that I could apply to? (I'm going to college next year, she's a year older than me). I don't care about the academic rating because I probably could get a scholarship into a college. Help? Please and thank you!

Alright, I am a college junior (just got to the status) and I am majoring in English. I have around 57-66 hours left to complete, and then I want to go to graduate school for a M.A. and then eventually a Ph.D. in creative writing (So I can become a comp/rhet/lit teacher). The University I am attending is very small (approx 4750 students) and I would like to stay here for my M.A. before I apply at the other school once I am finished.

Any ideas on a route for a job or whatnot? I don't want to become certified because here in the great state of Texas (sarcasm) it would atleast take me 80 hours to get certified to teach English.

So, I need some ideas on what to do POST-B.A.

Besides the KC Art Institute there seems to be no other school around here that offers it. I'm hoping to keep recieving the pell grant for as long as I can but it wouldn't cover all the costs of KCAI. I plan on applying for scholarships soon after I raise my GPA but I don't know how much scholarships would offer. JOCO has a few good photography courses but I don't think they offer a degree.
I really don't feel like moving to Chicago just to get a cheaper degree in what I want.
What's the deal with this city. It's the city of fountains (which is about art) and there are photographers everywhere around here but it's so expensive to get a degree in photography here and you wouldn't even be able to get a desent paying job in photography around here most likely.

I'm applying as a foreign student, and I don't really understand how college works, Someone told me that college just prepares you for the university or something like that, I want to go to college for 2 years and then to the university for another to, i want to study machanic engineering.
I'm applying to a community college, because it's less expensive, I can't afford to pay a four year study in a university right away.
Please can someone tell me how does it work, what should I study in college? and also does somebody know approximatelly how much is the whole college tuition?

I've always wanted to be a composition teacher at a community college, but I am scared senseless that I won't be able to find a position. I would like to teach in the New England Coastal Area. I am currently majoring in English and Literature at a small liberal arts university, with no idea how or what to do afterwards in my situation.
HELP!

Ok, when I ask most educators "why evolution is the only theory we study for the origin of life, and why it is; for that matter, presented as fact, not theory?" the stock answer is "because it's the best thing we have - there are other theories - but they belong in a philosophy class." However in my studies I have found nothing scientific about the theory at all that should make it better than any other. It seems to be a kind of faith. And in my mind (unless proven) also belongs in a philosophy class, So my big question to you is...
-DOSE EVOLUTION BELONG IN A PHILOSOPHY CLASS - OR A SCIENCE CLASS?-

You don't have to, but it would be helpful to me if you could include your: education level, belief system(including Atheism, and Evolutionism), age, gender, and race. I will let the community vote for best answer because of my biest. May the best answer win.
