I hear that majoring in Pharamaceuticals, Nursing, Chemistry or Biology would be a good way to go.

Statistics show that Med Schools don't really differentiate based on your major. That being said, it is generally better to major in the Life Sciences (Bio, Chem etc) because it puts you in a better position to prepare for the MCAT's. Furthermore if you have a non-science related major, you still have to finish all the entry requirements for med school so you'll be doing extra science classes anyway. I recommend going to the advice column on the website below to get more details. Good luck!

before everything i'm going to permit you already know that no particular significant stands proud to a medical college. All med colleges quite care approximately are the MCAT scores, the GPA of Pre-medical training, and the medical college interview. i'm additionally wanting to pass to be a doctor and that i think of i visit pass with Chemistry or organic and organic technology. The MCAT has 4 sections: Bio technology, actual technology, Verbal, and Writing. Bio, P.S., and Verbal are scored from 0-15. maximum medical college choose a minimum of a 9-10 in each and each section for some 30/forty 5 overall. i do no longer propose a non-technology significant except you're useful that basically the Pre-medical classes of Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, English, and Biology gets you magnificent MCAT scores. the clarification that maximum p.c.. a technology degree is via the technology sections on the MCAT, yet med colleges do no longer provide a crap approximately your significant. in basic terms the failings i discussed above.

First, Nursing would not be a good major for someone planning to go into Med School. Nursing and Doctoring (??) are way different from each other.

I would suggest Chem or Bio as a major, because they closely resemble the prerequisites for most Med Schools.

Pharmaceuticals would be a good major if you are planning to go into Pharmacy School, are plan a career in pharmaceutical sales.
