I have got an admission offer from Towson University for a masters course in Computer Science Engineering. They are also giving me graduate assistantship. I have also been accepted at George Washington University but i'm not sure if i'll get assistantship there. So which one do i opt for if i dont get assistantship at George Washington University? I would surely be getting assistantship at Towson University. Does the University u graduated from really matter when you are looking for a job?

Do colleges look at the final grade of the year for your gpa or for each markingf period. I got all a's and b's, but in Spanish I got a C...If I get A's for the rest and have my final grade as a B, am I in good shape? Also, do colleges look at the teacher's comments in your report card???

So someone please explain to me: is it a wise idea to leave your Fraternity houses without fire sprinklers? Who in their right mind doesnt think of such things when it comes to dealing with college students? Are any of the faculty at Wesleyan University actually parents?

I have a friend who applied early decision to two colleges. He was not aware that you are only allowed to apply this way to one school. What would happen if he got accepted to both schools? Is it possible to withdraw his early decision from one school, and still have an application on file with them?

Hello, I ahve a general question about pledging a grad chapter of a paricular NPHC Organization, however I will be joining a grad chapter, and from what I hear, grad chapters usually don't pledge, and then I heard some do, what how should I go about trying to gt a process. And for those who are against hazing and pledging and so forth, that's your business, not mine, and a personal decision that I am choosing to make for my own reason.Thank you very much, All opnions are appreciated

I go to a major University and the topic we covered in class yesterday was about the behavior of Fluids.

In particularly, she talked about Bernoulli's Equation and Torricelli's Law. Then she said something along the lines of, "these were a bunch of italian guys that came up with these principles....probably because they are a little easier than some of the more complicated ideas..."

I couldn't believe my ears, because I'm of italian descent and I was somewhat offended by that comment. That comment insinuates that italians are idiots and can only come up with "easy" theories about physics, when in fact the Renaissane that jump-started the Enlightenment in Europe originated in Italy.

There are some 200 students in this class, so it's not like I wanted to interrupt the class to question her on her statement etc.

I also don't want to be overly sensitive, but I know she wouldn't have made that statement if they had been, say, black or asian scientists.

Should I just forget about it?

I have a computer class and it is for 5 hours once a week. My professor usually lectures for and hour and the rest of class we are to work on the computer labs. This is a beginners course and the labs are step by step instructions. However, if there is a question or I need help, the professor is never in the classroom. He leaves and tells us to find him if needed. Is this right? I shouldn't have to chase my teacher around the school if I need help. Should I tell the Dean or a supervisor or suck it up until the end of semester in January?? I don't want him to know if I did make a complaint for fear of failure but when he isn't around I stop working and now am 3 weeks behind in work.

I have to decide quickley on where I should finish my schooling for electronics engineering technician. I am currently enrolled into a state university that that is not TAC/ABET (Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology) accredited. I have found a community college that is TAC/ABET accredited and the school is geared more for the engineering tech students. I am just not sure if I should go to a community college over a state college even though it looks like I would get better education. How important is the TAC/ABET accreditation and would it make a big difference if I had a degree from a University or Community college?I am running out of time so any advice would be helpfull thanks.
