Yes! I think they can mate all they want, but will never create offspring. They have different gnomes or something and they are from different major families. We discussed this when i was in high school in my biology class. But I believe a dog CAN get freaky and busy with a cat, just no outcome except maybe one sore pu$$y. lol.
Maybe someday they will genetically engineer the pet some of us are looking for but until science gets involved i dont think it will ever happen. Sorry to disappoint. But then again i have been wrong once before. lol.

Imagine the ovum or egg having a very specific key hole. Then imagine that only the male of that species having the key that fits that key hole. If you try and force a cat's key into a dog's keyhole, you won't get a match. The lock won't open. This is how receptors work in genetics. What you read belongs in the Star or Enquirer, pure tabloid trash.

Don't you think they would have done it by now? There are lots of cats and dogs that live together or meet up in the outdoors. Hoax for sure!

OMG - dibs on the babies. Seriously - cats and dogs are so genetically different that there is no way they could ever conceive. But having both neutered would help with their behaviour and allow you to invite company over again.
