Do colleges look at the final grade of the year for your gpa or for each markingf period. I got all a's and b's, but in Spanish I got a C...If I get A's for the rest and have my final grade as a B, am I in good shape? Also, do colleges look at the teacher's comments in your report card???

for the most part they look at your final GPA and they also look at the types of classes you took whether or not they were challenging (AP, IB, Dual Enrollment) They do not have the time to look at every little grade you got in every class nor do they typically read teachers comments unless it is in a recommendation letter or applies to some kind of infraction. Good Luck

I don't think very high GPA matters to some colleges, especially community colleges. B is good enough, and is better than a C; but a C is much better than a D grade.

Colleges will see your transcript, not your report card. and they look at your GPA - so that C in spanish will bring your gpa down a little bit, but if you get all A's and B's, it won't really hurt you that much.

That all depends of college you got to and what will be your major. Each college has their own requirement. If you going for a scientific carreer you need to worry much about humanities and foreing languages.
