I always put my school work first, I pick time that I will do it and I keep my word. when that is done i can evaluate how much time it will take to get the homework out of the wayso I can start planning to do the school work around the activity after school. As far as having fun, well, I try to do that all day no matter what. I just stay positive and focused and it works.

Ive been most sucessful in balancing marriage, work, school, homework, chores, and evenings with friends by having a good schedule and sticking to it.
For example, I have work every day for 9 hours, and then 4 hours on fridays. I have class on tuesday nights. Wednesday evenings and every other saturday night, I go out with friends. I do homework on Monday nights, and Thursday nights. My husband and I spend time during the weekends, so I try not to do homework on the weekends, but rarely do not do homework on the weekends. I do the same schedule each week so that I dont get confused.
Just get yourself a good schedule and just let people know when you are available outside of what you need to get done during the day.

the best way is to make a schedule with different activities at one side and the time duration for each activilty at the other side. ex:
Science: 5-6:30
Foot ball 6:45-7:20
history : 7:40 - 8:30
TV: 9-10
be sure to take into acount meals and bathing and stuff like that : to keep the schedule more realistic
Try to stick to the schedule and good luck!

Use your between-class time during the day to study. If that is not enough (but if you really focus, usually it is) you will have to carve out a given evening or two that are dedicated just to the books.
