More college degrees are granted now than ever. Bachelor's and Master's degrees are widely common and even a Ph.D is not as exclusive and distinctive as it used to be. Is there anything beyond? Do you think there should be?

Is it that parents have nothing better to do? If you were about to interview someone, would the fact that their parents were there put you off or would you feel more positive about the University candidate?

I'm doing a project for my speech class and I could use from feed-back. Some teachers only call on the student who doesn't know the answer. Other teachers are habitually late for class. What's your complaint about college teachers? Any meaningful praises about them are welcome too!

I am in the process of applying to graduate programs in clinical psychology. For one application, I have been asked to provide a personal statement (regarding interests, goals, experience, etc.), which I have completed. I am also supposed to submit a "personal history statement" that DOES NOT repeat what is in the personal statement. Any ideas? I'm a little stuck. Thanks!

My daughter did her IB and was valedictorian, but although that hard work got her into a great university, they didn't give her any transfer credits inspite of her excellent score. I am keen to know what US univerisities prefer? Not keen to let my younger child do the rigorous IB if US universities are not so impressed by it.

My university has been very loose with exam rules, allowing students to leave for extended unmonitored periods of time to return to the exam. I asked about this to the course director and have had no response. I'm worried they will try to 'shut me up' by causing me some problems or something. Should I just forget it or what can I do?

There's a website that has student written college and university reviews. Student and alum can write about how they thought the college was and also how difficult it was to get in. It also has brief sumaries of the colleges and their majors, acceptance rates, average scores, etc. They also have pie graphs that show the percentage of students that have a job 6 months after graduation. Students can grade the faciltiies and courses. It's not collegeconfidential.com.
