Middle School Grades Affect Collge Admission?

some ppl are saying it does and some are saying it doesn't
does anyone know for SURE the answer?

Also, what do u mean by it will affect the high school rank?

Definitely not.

When you complete your college apps they will ask for you to send a copy of your high school transcript. They will never ask for your middle school grades or pay any attention to them at all.

You should be aware though, that the high school transcript is the most important part of your college application. So you need to do the best job you can in your HS classes. Good luck!

When a university admissions offices look for a candidate to their school, they look at high school AP classes, GPA, SAT/ACT and volunteer organizations and charities that the candidate has on their "Resume". Middle school grades will determine ones high school course schedule. Therefore, if a middle school student wants to get into AP classes in high school, middle school GPA will determine enrollment.

Colleges never see those grades! But the foundation work you do in middle school and how well you understand the material WILL have an effect on how well you do in high school and those grades do count! It's tough time to concentrate (middle school years) and there is much mindless repition thanks to our US school system but think of it as review and master the material - it will make high school so much more enjoyable!
