I got a graduate degree used part of my student loan to try and save a failed business...
I consolidated my loans into a private company, College Loan Corp; can then go for the Income Contingent Repayment Plan with this one company I consolidated with?

If I declare bankruptcy do I face my private consolidation company in court or the US Government?

My husband and I have a debate. I said, nationwide there are more academic scholarships that give students a full ride. He says there are more athletic scholarships that give students a full ride. Statistically, I know that's impossible given that, in any give school, athletes are a minority in a student body. Any links or stats I can use? U.S. News World Report, etc.?

I need to know how i can apply for government grant online for free since this is susposed to be free money that the government offers why isn't the largest source of information which is the internet have it online instead of consumers having to buy a cd or guide to show you how to apply. That's money some people don't have to spend and most likely why their asking for a govenment grant anyway! Where's the free applications online if it's free money?

I would like to take CNA classes that will accept grants/financial aid ---not requiring me to have to borrow any money . I don't want to take out any loans. If anyone knows of any schools where I may qualify for "free"or "low cost" classses in the Detroit, MI area please let me know. I was told the Red Cross offered these types of classes but after contacting them I was told the program was dis-continued except for cash paying students. I don't have any of cash so that knocks me out. Thank you very much for your answers and your time.

Both of my parents are deceased. My father died in a work related injury. I receive workers' compensation on his behalf. When I fill out the fafsa, I never qualify for financial aid even though I desperately need it. Since my parents are deceased, everything (bills, living expenses) falls on me and it would be very difficult for me to pay for school out of pocket and support myself. Does the worker's compensation have to be reported on the fafsa? Is there a loophole or way around reporting this legally, I wouldn't want to lie and be penalized. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
