Financial Aid

I need some information on where to find more federally funded aide for college education, preferrably grants. I am trying to get a Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration online. My husband is totally disabled and I have been unemployed since Jan. 2006. We get only $1000.00 a month for a family of 4. I do not have the means to pay for my education. I am already having major problems paying for this year's tuition expenses. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I'm interested in a associate of applied science degree in health information technology. I've already accumulated more than $7,000 in student loans because I'm single and didn't qualify for any grants. I do not wish to make another loan to the government seeing that I only earn $8 per hr on my current job as well as being displaced by Katrina. I'm seeking any organization or person to sponser my continued education.

I'm going to be an incoming freshman this fall and I won't make 18 until July. I will not have had a job for six months or a creditworthy co-signer by the time I apply for a loan. The federal aid I have been awarded will not cover all the expenses I will incur. Is there any way I can get a private or alternative loan without a credit history, job history, or a co-signer?

Hello, I have a Bachelors in Business and am very disheartened by the corporate world, and absolutely hate it!! I was thinking about going back for a Masters in Education (teaching), but wanted to know where to go to begin looking for financial aid (since I'm already broke from the bachelors and loans), and just some thoughts in general about making such a huge career transition. Please help!! I am 24.

I am having a problem with my school, which is cuny. I am under verification from pell, as they claim, but when i called pell I was under no such list. Anyway. I filled out a paper with my family showing how much assets we have. According to our taxes, we make an x amount of income on bank interest. We put in on the sheet that we make an estimate of how much we have. When we turned it in, they claimed we have much much more, no where even near what we really have. Now they are asking for bank statements or else I wont get financial aid. Are they allowed to ask for this? I went to another cuny school before and they asked for no such thing. I spoke to a represenative and they said that each school has its own policy. I tried to fight them but they are not budging. Can I have some advice?

How long would it take for a young person to build good enough credit to get a student loan without a co-signer? Also, what are good ways to go about building this credit?

thats how im doing it. they pay for all of my college plus about $1000 a month on those months when im in school. Ive also been to Panama, Kuwait, Iraq and have experience as a heavy equipment operator because of the miliary. Not to mention the benifits of being a veteran like retirement and a VA home loan.

...thats my sales pitch. if you want to know more then yahoo messenger me at sean_mchugh6 or just post your comments on joining the military to pay for college.
