I am a student in the Uk and my mom earned just over the yearly wage amount to stop me getting the Financial aid that my friend gets, his mum makes £3000 less than my mum and he gets an extra £500 a year and gets an extra loan to help pay for his course. My mum still can't afford to give me money and i am having to work and distract myself from studies to make abit extra money so i can afford to live. It is rediculous, do you agree?

I have student loans out which I am paying off, since then my credit hasnt been so good, how can I go back to school if I dont have any money? I am only 1 semester short of an associates degree, and I went to a private college, so I owe the school &5,500. I would have to come up with &10,000 just to finish the last semester.

I was approved for a student loan. Do I get the money, or do they send it to my school? Also, how long does it take to get?

I live just outside Atlanta. Financial Aid is essential, and the less I have to pay back - the better.

Is there a specific grant/scholarship that may help with bills, expenses while attending school? Would a loan be more suitable for this situation?

I am 25 years old and just (as in today) getting out of a four year relationship. I suddenly realized that my next step is to finish college (i think i have like half a year of credits). I know how my mind and attitude works, and I'm certian that I won't be comfortable with my performance at school if I am being distracted by the burdens of a full time job. I'd like to quit work altogether and go to school full time. Or at least only work part time. I know there are ways to do this, I just don;t know what those ways are. I don't have any children and one can usually rent a room around the college i wish to attend for 300 a mo (or less). What do i need to do? NOTE: Answeres who don;t like to get detailed, please move on.

I'm 18 imacipated. Brother concerned if I apply for fian aid and use his address we will get kicked out due to Fian Aid reporting to apts. Also that his income will be requested by Fianancial Aid. I need Fian Aid to goto school. Is this true? Is all income of household required if I support myself? Does Fiancial Aid report you if you are not on the lease? How can I show proof of residency?
