Vist www.nelnet.net. Inquire on the Federal Stafford Loan. That's what I did. I'm 18 with no credit and no cosigner. Mostly everyone is approved.

Visit with your financial aid office to see if they have suggestions, local foundations that can help students in your situtation out, or lenders who might be easier to work with. Not all alternative student loan lenders require a co-signer, although most do, shop around to different lenders. Be aware that you may be charged a higher interest rate b/c you will seen as higher risk w/o a cosigner. Good luck and don't ever give up on your educational goals!

First want to let you know where there is a will there is a way. Contact your financial aid office and inquire with them. Also, go on-line and search scholarships/grants for the area you live in. There is tons of money out there for education. Check with your church also. Also check with the federal government for loans that you don't need a co-signer. Good Luck!!!!!!

I also recommend you visit your financial aid office for some insight. If you are eligible to apply for scholarships that may be a source or check out applying for a student loan via a state or federal grant. Again your financial aid office should have some information on these sources.

its pretty much impossible, I ran into the very same problem!!

What you need to do is go to your local bookstore and get a book on government loans and grants. The reason I say loans first is because they are easier to get and because they are from the government they arent credit based. But be careful, if you dont repay, the consequences can be severe. (Garnished wages, loss of property)
