I plan on attending a college that is going to cost $11,259 out of my own pocket. The problem is, my school isn't considering me for a lot of aid because they say "my parents make too much money" to qualify for grants but we keep getting denied for private loans because my parents just built a house and have "too much debt to income ratio". Now, before you say "Well just apply for a Stafford loan!"..I already did, but its only for like $2,625. And before you tell me to just find a different co-signer..everyone I know is reluctant to co-sign for me because of what would happen to their credit if I miss a payment. Is there ANY advice anyone could give me, because I spend hours researching loans on the internet that don't require credit checks and it's so frustrating. Please get back to me, thank you!

i attend a technical college so the full time tutition is around $500 without books. I live on my own and I'm only 19. I do not have much contact with my parents but they make me put my stepmothers income on my fafsa. I can't really pay for my college and keep up with all my bills so I really need some help.

I have a high tone hearing loss and have to read lips alot. Hearing aids are around $5000 or more and I cannot afford them. Insurance does not cover them either. Does anyone have any real suggestions? I am already working 60+ hours a week so another job is not an option. Thankyou.

I already have three jobs and can barely make ends meet . I feel the longer I stay out I will not be able to go back. Where can I get the money?

I have lots of bills, and initially bring home about $2000 per month. I don't have a savings, if I buy "extra, not needed" things over the cost of $300 in one month, I am broke. I really don't want to take out almost $2000 a month in loans for 2 years, that would be crazy!! I would have a part time job, but cannot afford the time to be a full time worker.

This is for my sister who is a college sophmore..I am trying to help her out. Right now, she goes to a public college. Because of her family income, and the fact that her public college is "cheaper" (12,000 a year) than most schools in the state, she received LITTLE fafsa help last year (like 500 dollars). She wants to transfer to a private college that costs about $25,000 a year, but she has already received a private grant from them, which would bring the total to about $18,000 a year. Basically, we are wondering if she applied for fafsa through this private college, is there a chance she would get more aid from it? The family income is slighty lower than the last time she filled it out as well. Thank You

i live in ethiopia and i study architecture at a university here i am top of my class pretty impressive for a girl of 19 in my country. i am not satisfied by the standard of education here but alternatives are bleek so i was ok untill i got notified that i had won a dv lottery and will qualify for a green card in 2007 so i'm coming to the us and the first thing on my mind is to join a college and continue my education. i love architecture and if i get in the right school and study i know i can do something spectacular in architecture
i tried applying to universities in the states and i meet all their qualifications other than the required application fee (which i can't afford) and affidavit for financial support which i don't have.
i plan on applying for student loans when i get to the states but i need to be accepted right so how do i do that before hand with these barries in front of me
the right answer to this question could really change my life so let me know.
