My parents are divorced and I live with my mom and we get child support from my dad...is his income included?

yay....I just checked the fafsa site and a parent if they are divorced, is the one you live with...good thing my mom makes under $20,000 a year...Im in luck

His income is not (it's household income), but his contribution of child support is, as that is income that your mother takes in. My advice is to make sure that you should use whoever's income is SMALLEST, because that will make you eligible for more federal money.

Colleges are using something called a noncustodial parent contribution form. I know this because I just had to fill one out for my son. This is to keep the info confidential between the families if you want. It costs $23. Check with the school about whether it's needed. The link is below.

Most colleges expect the noncustodial parent to contribute above and beyond their child support if they have the means. The colleges call the shots, not whatever agreement is in place between your parents. But it can work out okay.

Yes, FAFSA is dependent on many things, including your income, both parents income, number of siblings attending college, and many others.

Whomever is your legal guardian. If they have 50/50 custody I dont know. Perhaps put both down. It wold benefit you to put the least making parent but, if it is not a legal move, theyll either deny or want their money back.
