I am a single parent of three and I owe 2,000 dollars to my university. I have only two semesters to go and I have to pay it off before christmas in order to register. Where can I get the money. I already have three jobs and can barely make ends meet . I feel the longer I stay out I will not be able to go back. Where can I get the money?

The quickest method is to file at FAFSA.ed.gov or file for a student loan. There are scholarships and grants available, but they take time to go through the process. An idea is to check with your bank for student loans or your university's financial aid office.

Most Banks and Loan companies will give you student loans for your education. They respond very quickly because they want your business, their are a lot listed on line, just check under headings for student loans. Once you take care of this matter, then you should start looking for grants, this is money you don't have to pay back, Depending on your major, some work sites will pay for your entire education or at least a part of it. Nursing students are in high demand, so they are receiving a lot of free grants. Then all the schools have a list of grants that are available of which students can apply. Some applications are very easy while others may require you to write an essay. You also can find grant information on line and they will give you the application process. Then finally if you can get employment at one of the schools, no matter what position you work in they will usually cover all your cost for education. I have a friend who completed her Master's Degree through this method. Don't give up, there is money available you just have to be able to tap into it, talk with a counselor at your school sometimes they have a lot of knowledge of grants and other alternative methods of paying for your education, To meet your immediate need start calling the banks and loan companies, but you have to specify it as a student loan. Usually this money is paid back at a later date dependent on your education goals.
