i went to college but droped out(withdrawn from classes) and didnt do the fafsa but now i am going to college again at a different school will my efc(expected family cobtrubition) be higher or lower if i put bothcolleges

According to Sallie Mae's website, it is possible that moving to a different college could affect your EFC - because there are two acceptable methods of calculating it, and a new school may use a different way than your previous school. Here's the explanation:

Your EFC won't be affected by putting down both colleges. This isn't something that impacts the EFC.

it's not the colleges, but your family's income and scholarships available for your selected school and major that determines the amount you get; reduced student loan amounts are based on family's income;

it should be the same. the contribution would not change just becaue you chaged schools
