6 grapefruit costs as much as 12 oranges. the cost of 12 grapefruit and 24 oranges is $12. HOW MUCH DOES 1 GRAPEFRUIT COST?

i got this far:

x=grapefruit
y=orange

12x+24y=$12


please help and SHOW WORK SO UNDERSTAND.

Directions: Given g(x) = x squared -x, find the following values of g.
1. g(-3)

2. g(3)

3. g(-2)

4. g(0)

5. g(-1)

6. g(1)

Could you please explain me how to do this? My teacher was out of town, and we had a substitute, so the substitute didn't know what this "thing" was.

You don't have to do all of them, but at least one would be nice (like a walkthough).

If you did all of them, I wouldn't learn anything!

-the 3.57 might come up to a 3.7
-the semester grades are coming in 4 weeks
is it possible to bring it up to a 4.0??


i have 3 B's out of 7 classes.
MATH= B: needs 3%---but i think it will go up to an A- because of my previous test score

English= B+: needs 2% to be an A-

History= B: needs 4% to be an A-

Is there some amazing person out there that can help me throughout the next few days, so I can improve my personal statement? I have 300+ service learning hours, and a 3.5 GPA, but a 20 on my ACT. I need to make this good lol. Is there a kind soul that will read my first draft, harshly criticize, read my second draft, harshly criticize, and read my third and possible fourth draft, to help me improve? I'm fun to talk to, also lol. I'm an amateur astronomer, a Scrabble champ, a Chess aficionado, soon to be published author of a science fiction novel, proud student and future doctor. Hi everyone. Here are some details. I'm 25 and almost finished with my internship to becoming a dietitian (6 months left). I have never travelled outside the US and I am dying to travel, learn spanish and live in another country. What I really would like to do is just move somewhere different directly after my internship to maybe...puerto rico, learn spanish and hopefully work in my profession ( i know they have the same system to becoming a dietitian thats why i say puerto rico) . This sounds really difficult, but I would like to do it. What I am worried about is that after all of my school i pretty much have no savings plus I will be an entry level dietitian...and not understand spanish. I have taken a couple of years of spanish in high school and am now listening to spanish cds during my commute. I know it would probably be smarter to work in my profession here in California where I live =P but i have the travel bug bad. Any advice, thoughts, suggestions would be helpful! thanks!

1. I am a Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts) proving my leadership.
2. Driven my councelors in High School insane by visiting them often.
3. About 3.0+ GPA
I understand that id serve 5 years in the military and 3 in reservers
4. Lettered in Cross Country and Track for four years in a row
5. Started several clubs and held lots of events for them.
