In addition, traditional size envelopes are 4 and1/8th inch by 9 and 1/2 inch ?

Of course this is to enclose the previously mentioned paper size. But seriously, the issue is the same.

Why ?

Also, why are index cards 4" by 6" and 3" by 5" ??

Who makes these rules !?

Do I have to capitalize when naming diseases in the middle of sentences. I just had a paper back and the teacher scrached the hole thing and capitalized each disease that I named in the paper.
i.e. "In the tropics, African natives were more protected and familiarizad with diseases such as Smallpox and Malaria.

Is that right???

I was wondering how many hours a week can i work without having it to affect the amount of money financial aid gives me. My parents dont make that much. They make about 30k together and i have a little brother and a little sister as dependents. So my family size is 5 and parents make about 30k. I am getting so frustrated and irritated with this im about ready to give up and take a F. Really. I think my grade can handle it. See the problem is how can i write an essay the i am for or against abortion if i can understand why one would be for it and one would be against it. I feel that getting an abortion just because is wrong but getting one because of a life saving situation or after a tramiatic rape would be ok and a choice for the women. But no matter if one is for or against it i feel that the goverment shouldn't ban it and that in the end it is the mothers choice. I also have to use 2 core democratic values for it but how can i write an essay if I'm in the middle basically neutral.

My chemistry teacher sometimes collects homework, but sometimes she doesn't. There was one day where she went over the homework, but I didn't hear the part when she said, "pass up your homework"...if she did. So it turns out she collected the homework, but I got a zero on it because I never turned it in. But the problem is, I DID IT. I spent quite a while on it, and I finished it before the day it was due. I don't know how to explain this to my teacher. What should I do?
The homework is worth a lot of points too.

Now, grades and numbers are mearly all that matter anymore. The fact of education is slipping away. The fact of going to school is to learn, but nowadays it seems that people only go to get good grades. It doesn't even matter if you truly understand it anymore, just if you cant pass by and get that A+ on the test. What is your take on this?

My english 1 honors class is very fast moving and the teacher is horrible. He does not teach anything. His reviews are not very helpful to me, because he makes jokes nearly the entire time and it just confuses me while I'm trying to take notes. The ciriculum is mythology. I had a horrendous memory and can barely remember everyone we need to know. His tests and quizzes are very difficult for me, because I forget one or two things and I bomb it. How can I work around the bad teacher and help myself with the cirriculum to bring my grade up?
