Well I just got a poptart trivial persuit which said
what town was set fire when mrs oleary's cow kicked over a lantern.
Well the song never mentions where they are. and the answer was Chicago s.... why????

I am trying to finish my BA in business administration but find it hard to go to a 4 year school while working full time. The closest 4 year school to me is in New Paltz, an hour away. I already take someonline classes so adapting to the online environment is not the problem. New York State has a totally online program that is called SUNY Empire. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I also worry that I wont be able to get into grad school with an online degree or get a good job. I really would appreciate any input on this matter. Thanks!!

Here's a one-syllable example of an LMNOP:

lox
mocks
nocks (those little notches in arrows)
ox
pox

The challenge is to find one that works this way in English with 2 syllables (and there is one--at least one!).

ok so we moved in today and i'm having my doubts. it's not about being far away from home, etc. sure i don't like it, but i'm 25 and i can handle it. my problem is that i want to become a certified insructor for theraputic horseback riding. right now i'm at a 4 year university getting a bs in equestrian science. they offer a theraputic riding *class* but it's a pilot class and doesn't give certification. after 4 years, i'd have to spend another year and a half getting certified. or i could skip the BS, get a full refund from the school, and just get certified through the national assocation. i'm already looking at 33k in debt if i complete this first year alone. the certification by itself would only be about 6k. what should i do? i dont want to make the wrong decision. a degree is nice but the certification would allow me to start helping people sooner.

I really want to go to the University of Hawaii. The program and environment seem to suit me perfectly. I don't see myself getting into a top 25 school, so I'm thinking I should go where I'll be happy. However, I am concerned about my career and am wondering how UH might hinder me. I plan on taking the Japan-focused program, as I plan on working for a multi-national company in Japan. I currently work for one of the world's largest and most prestigious law firms. I'm also a natural "hustler" and feel I can adequately handle myself in any networking/interview situation. I would like to work for an investment bank, like Deutsche Bank. Any advice?

I dropped out of high school due to some medical problems. i'm turning 17 soon and i plan on getting my GED this fall and taking the SATs. I've always been a great student, but somewhere along the lines things just didn't work out. I've always wanted to go to Purdue University, but now i'm afraid i won't get accepted when i send in my application next year.

**I am NOT referring to kids, people who are learning English as a second language, or people who never went to school (or were there in body only).

For instance:
'The object'...should be pronounced THEE object--not THUH object
'The attendance'----thee, not THUH
The 'importance'---thee, not THUH
'The umbrella'----thee, not THUH
'The envelope'----thee, not THUH
they are pronouncing it THUH--even on TV and in movies. I never heard so much of this until very recently.

I am going to a new school since my dad needs to stay closer to work, but I have to go to this new school and I am really nervous about the school because from what I have heard from my friends that go there from tae kwon do who aren't in my grade tell me that they all dress like sluts! I am very good in math in high school, but was either thinking about engineering or pharmacy. Does it matter if I do not select a major in my Freshman year, or will I be taking some classes that I don't need? I wanted to keep my option open to see whats available for my future.
