you didn't say whether this is hi school or college or if there is anything you have to mention or cannot mention. But in my fiction writing we described a happy childhood memory or described a favorite item from your younger years and discussed the reasons it was special: who gave it to you or where you were when it was purchased. Or you could maybe describe a dream? interpret a poem or short story? Describe what you see outside your bedroom window. any beautiful trees and such or is it all buildings and gloomy shadows? Even shadows can be interesting...sometimes!
Using descriptive language show people where you went on vacation but never mention the location's name except in the last sentence. ("show not tell" is the exercise's name)I heard birds calling to each other from the trees, I see many people standing in the sun, i see horses at a gallop splashing thru the water...well, you could be at a round-up in one of the middle states or you could be in the Caribbean at one of those resorts. How you describe it should keep the reader guessing until you reveal the answer at the end by saying something like...and I enjoyed myself at the Great B Ranch in Montana. Good luck. Hopefully someone who posted an answer can get you writing fast for your assignment.

Yikes, that's an awfully wide-open field of potential topics! :)
What interests do you have? What are you into? What moves you?
Write about how the decreasing population of bees may affect future crops because of pollination deficiencies.
Write about how many plastic bottles of water go into landfills each minute, and how that conflicts with the nation's mandate for healthy living.
Write about fast food chains, and the astounding cruelty and inhumane treatment of animals that goes on every day, virtually unnoticed, in this country.
Write about how next year's election could change the world.
Write about how YOU would change the world if you could.

Most topics I usually write about are things that are important to me. Maybe a major goal of yours, a hero, a signifigant event that's occured in your life, or a passion of yours? I'm minoring in English and my best papers have came from things I felt strongly about and really wanted to convey to the reader. Good luck!

Write about the subject of Compassion - it could include content that you've experienced personally and also include people like Mother Teresa who's an awesome example of it.

You should make sure you have a thesis, or a question, so, you can make it about just anything, as long as you can say to yourself "Why is (insert subject name) the best/worst?" and once you have that down you can start your thesis!
