I've been accepted by the college and I've got all the evidence for financial support from my parents. I'm white British, 21, and have no criminal convictions whatsoever. What are my chances of being granted a student visa?

Is this introduction good for the essay that I am writing?

Is there a possibility that two books on slavery, one fiction and the other non-fiction have similar concepts to it? In the books Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Twelve Years A Slave by Solomon Northup, have many similarities in them. Some of those similar things are religion, violence, and unexpected turns in their life. In the essay it will explain how those topics are similarities in the books.

In the essay I have to compare the main characters and events of the classic books. So I was wondering if the introduction of it was good? Is there anything that I need to correct?

Hi my name is Amber. I live alone. I work a full time job. A job that has a rotating schedule (rotating which days of the week I work). I don't always know when overtime is going to happen. I have always dreamed of earning a college degree. I have looked at online colleges, but I'm not sure if this would be a good or smart idea. Could someone please give me some direction?

See, it is annoying! I hate it, it annoys me so much. And for some reason, it is always the sort of people who read the Mail or Express, those who thinks common nouns like 'thugs' and 'prisoners' and 'immigrants' should have capital letters.

I am looking for colleges to go to and the tuition fees are so high! >_<
I see that even public schools have expensive tuition fees if i am not a resident of the state.
I've recently moved out of California and wish to go to UCLA and am thinking about moving back there in about 2 years.
How long do i have to be living in the state i am in to be considered a resident??

examine an index card. take note of its size and shape. your mission is to fit yourself through the card.
the rules are......you can only tear and fold the card......you CANNOT use tape, glue, or anything else to hold the card together.

How do you combine studying and childcare? Is it worth it in the end?

I am going to a graduate school for a full semester. My baby will be born January '08. I am not sure what to do. Continue part-time (independent study done mostly at home) or take a year off, and then go to school part-time. Maybe I should give up school overall and resume after baby grows up?
What are your thoughts, I am lost.

since spanish is the 2nd highest spoked language in the US after english. since there are more spanish speaking people in the US than any other type of language speakers besides english. so should spanish be made a requirement for elementary school kids to learn?

I took my THEA yesterday. Wondering if anybody knows how it's scored? There are 40 multiple choice questions over 7 topics and I have to score a minimum of 230. There are 50 multiple choice questions and I must score a minimum of 230. The Writing consists of a 300-600 word essay and 40 multiple choice questions and I must score a minimum of 220. Does anyone know how many questions I need to get right to pass in each subject? Or, is it even scored that way?? I should get my scores in about a week, and I feel like I did OK on the writing & reading, but the math however........................... Any input would be greatly appreciated!

So tommorrow is registration day for a community college in alabama (calhoun) ive waited to the last day.... mom didnt go to college so i had no clue how it worked, and plus shes not making an effort to make me go which is sad, shes satisfied on me working a 6.50 an hour job than going to college, which im determined to go, i called the advisor center, i found out im late on my financial aid for the fall, :(, so im guessing imma haft to pay out my pocket for clases, my gpa in high sckoo was low, i didnt get a chance to take the ACT(financial problems, but when i filled out the exmpt form they said we made enough money actually alot of money) my mom is a single parent.. so i wonder whats left for me in lifee, i wanna become a software engineer! but its looks like life just isnt on my side, just a person trying to pursue a college degree and seems like everything is goin wrong

is there other colleges that i can go to? i mean my gpa was a 2.3 doesnt seem like i stand a chance ne where
