I mean, why do so many superficial people think your school pedigree actually matters? I personally know people that went to private institutions to study liberal arts. Ok, that is just laughable. Meanwhile, I'm studying GIS at a public school, and I'll probably be making more money than they ever will. Not that I care, just trying to make a point. Fact is, employers don't really care if you went to Yale or _________ State Uni. Get over it people. Stop kidding yourselves.

This question is so generic so points to whoevers response is the most creative/funny and usuable. I want to blow some minds.

I have problem in English reading and writing. I told my tutor about that (I think that I shouldnt tell) and he and the co-ordonator recommand me to withdraw the course, they think that I will not be able to complete the course sucessfully cos academic english is required and I dont have! So its hardly to pass the course...

The choice is mine, but I'm not sure! My interest is design and hate history...The course is just started 4 wks and end in Dec. Should I try it, see how its go OR withdraw it?
I really dont know wt to do if I withdraw it...All the courses r already started! PLUS there has family pressure...they expect me I will do well! How can I tell them about this?

I'm 21 this yr n I have no more time to waste! I need advice!!!

engineering or finance/accounting

i work about 30 hours a week because i have to pay all my expenses myself(mommy and daddy can't help me out),i have just got an associates and have finished my general eds,i like both of them alot but i know engineering takes alot of time and it is kinda like a medical because professors really don't want you to have a job and want you to spend alot of time on it,on the other hand i have taken some accounting classes and know about finance and i know i will be able to study and understand the material, i am a junior and i used to declare myself as a comp sci/eng student until until my counselor said should i consider changing it or don't work so much, i had to work so i decided maybe it's time for a change, my counselor even asked me if i had a girlfriend and i said no and he said good because i won't have time for them either,so what do you thing, all comments are welcomed

Where to go??????

My considerations at the moment: Texas A&M, Stanford, University of Colorado, Carnegie Mellon, Clemson

I have been extensively researching these places online, but that just isn't the same as actually going to the campus. Any insider info would be appreciated.

I am thinking about an engineering degree or something to do with languages (spanish).
I definitely want to study abroad.
I like to be around friendly people and places with lots of activities/clubs.
Anywhere in close proximity to skiing= AWESOME
Cost is a moderate concern.

Any other colleges that you think might work well for me?
