Hi there, my girlfriend is giving birth to our new baby in about 4months, at that time she will not be able to continue going to her lectures regularily. I was wondering if it would be illegal for one of her class mates to vocaly record the lecture & replay it back to her so she can continue in her education.

Thankyou it is much appreciated & will help alot.

Cheers

im a senior in high school. for college, i plan to go to either:

university of michigan
univ. of michigan - dearborn
wayne state university

my dad lives in michigan, but i live in alabama. is there a way i can be classified as an in-state resident without taking a year off from school?

on collegeboard's site, i found a guide to michigan's state residency and in one quote it said:

"The domicile of a dependent student is presumed to be the same as that of the student's natural parents. If only one natural parent is domiciled in Michigan, the student will be presumed to be a Michigan resident regardless of whether that parent is the student's custodial parent."

Would this qualify me as a resident? It sounds too good to be true. Is there a catch or am I not reading between the lines? Any help would be appreciated.

here's the link to the where i found the quote:

I don't think my parents understand how serious this is starting to get.I'm going to be a junior in High school on Monday and I'm freaking out about going to my math class.I've always been afraid of math but it just started to get more serious as I enrolled to a new High school. My old school was private, small it felt like prison and there I was in from grade 6-9th they never taught! The teaching skills were so poor. They passed kids easily from grade to grade. So,they passed me on Algebra 1 without even knowing anything. As I reached to grade 10th I went to a new school which is the one I'm currently in and this school is more advanced and actually teaches.I failed Geometry already. Now I need to retake it.So get this.I need to take this year Geometry,Algebra 2 and Physical Science all involve math.My parents won't take me to a tutor nor psychologist.I can't even get a tutor in school.I feel as if this is going to ruin my life and i need someone to talk to so badly. Oh Please..

I taught second grade for two years and lost my job in May due to a budget cut. My county was so good to me that they gave me a position at the last minute. It is teaching reading to middle school and high school students. I am not certified in those grades, but maybe I don't have to be. I did not ask, but they know my credentials as I worked for that school system already two years. Anyway, I have been busy testing and such and have not actually had students yet because they are still trying to figure out who will be in my classes. I am scared to death!!!! They said this is the first time this program has been offered and if I don't do a good job then I will have no job and they will not have a grant next year. I signed a limited contract today. I work closely with the assistant principal and asst. superintendent. Everyone at the school is nice. I just feel I lack the competency to do a good job. I barely got use to my last job and it ended. Should I quit or try and fail??

My 15 year old son failed all of his 9th grade classes, after going to live with his father a year ago. He did no homework and played and joked his way through the whole school year in each and every class according to his teachers. This year he is being sent to a school with more discipline that will allow him to make up some of his 9th grade classes during the school year. What can I do to monitor his progress? What should his Dad be doing? I can visit him at his Dad's twice a week and he comes to my house every Friday through Sunday night. We normally comunicate through phone calls, text messaging, and e-mail.
