To become a registered radiologic technologist (x-ray tech), you can go through a 2 year program in a hospital to earn a certificate, or 2 years at a community college or technical school to earn an associate degree, or 4 years at a university to get a bachelor's degree. A certificate from an accredited school is all that is required to take the national registry exam.

You can find accredited schools here (choose radiography and your state, then search): http://jrcert.org/cert/Search.jsp

Radiology is a big field. Do you know what you want to do in the field?
A Radiologist is a medical doctor, and you will need to attend Medical School for that.
An X-ray tech is mainly involved with getting the x-rays of patients. This usually requires a undergraduate degree.

Radiology is a specialty in medicine and requires a medical degree. Medical school takes 4 years after which you will need to take a residency in the specialty you are interested in. In this case radiology takes five years postgrad. To be competitive for medical school you should be attending a 4 year university.

However, if you are looking at lab assistant then you just need to find a school that offers the classes.
