I am teaching right now in 4th grade and have a student who LOVES to read. He will read any chance he gets- what a problem, right? Well, the main problem is that his reading will occur during math, cursive, transition periods, etc. He gets absorbed into his books and only comes back to reality after I call his name 3 or 4 times. He is doing fine in these other subjects, and I don't mind that he reads except that he never finishes work unless I stand right by him. And when we do cooperative groups, he complains and a few times has gotten tears in his eyes. He is only 9 and I want him to continue his love for reading, but he is missing out on the social interaction, and I fear that he will have problems in his future, especially since he is a lot smaller than his peers. He gets along with his classmates, but it takes effort to get him away from his book and talk with his peers. Any suggestions?

I'm currently in highschool but I've been looking over a few colleges. I'm particularly interested in UNLV. However, I currently live in California and i don't know how hard it is to go to an out-of-state college. Any information on UNLV would be greatly appreciated, as well as any advice on going to an out-of-state college. I'm still deciding whether to major in pharmacy, business, or engineering.

Again, back to my research project. I'm trying to find different styles of the piano, but Im not very familiar with pianos, so Im not sure what some different styles are. Ok, I'm in 8th grade. I'm not saying that I would, but just out of curiosity...if I were to right a book and publish it in 9th grade...took all the AP classes I could throughout highschool and aced all of them, and got a 7 on all of the exams.....was varsity in track, cross country, and skiing....scored a 2355 on the SATs, started a political club, was in four other clubs, and did 200 hours of community work....Do you think that would get me into Harverd or Yale...
