Again, back to my research project. I'm trying to find different styles of the piano, but Im not very familiar with pianos, so Im not sure what some different styles are. I plan to further research them, then play them for my class, and explain how they are different, and why, and all that fun stuff. Thanks for you help.

Different Periods of music
First came, 1. Baroque- it was very simple, not that interesting as the "piano" hadn't been invented yet. They played if on the harpsichord. E.g. Bach, Scarlatti, Handel
2. Classical- think mozart, beethoven style. The rhythm was simple, it was very 'structured' to say.
3. Romantic- the piano was FULLY developed which allowed great virtuosic pieces to be composed. e.g. Grieg, Chopin. There were lots of notes and long beautiful phrases in pieces. It wasn't 'simple' rhythm anymore, it was more flowing, and 'romantic'.
4. Contemporary- u noe how some pieces don't sound like they're playing the right notes? it just sounds weird? more of that stuff was composed. Also, "program music", which was like..music that 'told a story' (like it was the background music of a cartoon with no sound and the music told the story)
E.g. Aaron Copland, Brian Bonsar
5. Jazz- it's also part of contemporary.
