It really depends on where you live. Each state, and school district, have their own guidelines. Where I live, in Florida, if you're expelled and under 18, unless your parents sign a form allowing you to drop out altogether, you are headed to school at a juvenile detention center or an alternative school. If your state allows you to get your GED at 16, and if you are that old, then I suggest taking advantage of getting it, and then going to a community college.

And btw, I'm impressed to see that you're concerned about your future, even with the set back you've experienced. I'm not sure what you did to get expelled, but it says a lot that your seeking out your options. Keep up the good work!

Military schools in the USA that are prepping students for a career in the military will not accept individuals that are expelled from a public school. As for acceptance from being expelled from a private school, it depends on the private school you attended. Many private schools will not supply your conduct records for public viewing, including the military dependent upon the reasons for the expulsion. Your best bet is to contact a military school, not necessarily the one you want to attend, and asks them their policies on acceptance, including expulsion.

Each private school can choose who they take... some may take you some may not.
