I'm a freshman in highschool--and i got my first trimester grades back--they're horrible! will this affect my GPA? do colleges/universities look at these??have i ruined my future already??

For 2 years I studied translation proficiency at kazakh-American University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Now I am studying at Davis&Elkins College in Elkins, WV - my major is education. But this year is my last one at this college. I want to transfer to another college in NYC, NY. Is that possible to transfer, beeing a translation proficiency student for 2 years, than an education student. I wish to continue the education major. I mean, 2 years at my country + the year at D&E College- so to transfer to the last year at the College with education major. So, this is it.

I took a writing test for a college. They said they loved my short story and writing style. To help me improve and get some contacts I need to sign up and take the course. I have no problem spending the $50. a month, and it is a great course I've checked it out, and they don't accept everyone. I have friends who have been accecpted and turned away. So it truely is an opportunity. Why the question then? I don't know, maybe just some your opinions at this moment is what I need. I can't give you a taste of the short story I've written because I will be submitting it later this year. Please, some advice.

I appeared for GMAT exam and scored 580. This is the unofficial score. The official will be available after 20 days. I am not sure if 580 inculdes marks from all the 3 sections, or its excluding the 1st section i.e the Analytical writing assessment.

I had to take this semeser off of school because I owed money before I could register for classes. Needless to say I did not have it. I came back to my parents house to work but it is unrealistic to save up the amount of money I need to go back to school. I have tried loans but I have no credit and my parents have bad credit so we get turned down. I have been turned down by family members as cosigners. I have one year left and I just want to finish it up.

Every year, over two hundred million innocent animals are injured or killed in scientific experiments across the world. Of those animals, between seventeen and twenty million are used in the United States alone. It’s said that an animal dies in a laboratory every three seconds. Those in favor of animal experimentation say they’re taking animals’ lives to save humans. But is it really necessary to subject animals to torturous conditions or painful experiments in the name of science? Is it ethical to destroy an animal’s life while simply testing lipstick or shampoo? Animal experimentation, like many of the issues we face today, is difficult to argue against, and just as hard to support.
