I had to take this semeser off of school because I owed money before I could register for classes. Needless to say I did not have it. I came back to my parents house to work but it is unrealistic to save up the amount of money I need to go back to school. I have tried loans but I have no credit and my parents have bad credit so we get turned down. I have been turned down by family members as cosigners. I have one year left and I just want to finish it up.

thats great, dont lose your drive... KEEP GOING! dont ever give up. loans i try to avoid, so here are a list of grants/ scholarships that may help.

just take your time and pick through all of them. also, you may need to contact them and ask when the deadline is, what they offer and what they require (most require an essay). try FASTWEB first (link is below), they search lots of databases and find what you need.

try to aim for grants/scholarships more... they are not to be paid back. its confusing sometimes, but just keep applying.

every big (and small) company you see (manufacturer, orgs, corps and groups also) all have grants and scholarships they hand out like candy.

heres a link with a HUGE amount of some available. some you will need to copy and paste into a new window. also, fastweb (take the time to fill it in) will search databases and get back to you with a list of scholarships you qualify for.

Also contact all mens, womens associations in your state, they almost always have grants & scholarships. What ever field you are going into, contact the orgs, associations etc for them; Also check with professional organizations related to your career interests, such as the American Bar Association or the American Medical Association. they also always have scholarships. Research and dig, call then write. Its all worth it.

OVER apply; it doesnt hurt to have too many, and the extra funds can help with housing.

For starters, u still have to pay off the amount u owe before u can register for next term OR get an aid. Stafford loans do not need good credit or co signers. Ur parents can't get a PLUS loan either.. I would just apply for loans..subsid. and unsub. (as bad as u hate to)..it' s better than not finishing.. Also try to get on campus.. Talk to FA and tell them the situation..u would be amazed at how much help they can be IF they will...that's the key IF..

well, they could take out a parent plus loan. When they get denied then you can take out an unsubsidize loan. Try to get a subsidize loan and/or perkins loan, of course they are need based. Maybe try a teri lender that can give you a loan based on credit...meaning, you may have to get a higher interest rate or an orginiation fee.

or you could open a credit card account to established a credit.

Go to school part time and finish. A lot of people do by taking one or two classes a semester.
