Many kids grades go down because of their homework not being done. Why must kids have so much homework? In school all day and then their evenings are spent with their nose in the books. Kids need family time too. Some also have responsibilities at home. Some are from single parent families. If a person has more than 1 child it is so stressful to try to help. After working all day it is hard to come home after working, get dinner, do laundry, some of us are also still in "school". We are trying our best to be competent, caring & patient parents. Could we have your cooperation and be more considerate of us too.

Hey guys! Okay, I need some opinions, and insight as to what YOU would do if you were in my shoes..okay here it goes:

I wanted to finish up my senior year online using an online homeschooling course. I'm just fed up with school as a whole and I'm mostly unhappy when I'm at school. The only problem with this is...

If I do finish my education online, I think I have a very slim chance of walking with my class of 2007 on graduation day. I know my mom really wants to see me walk, as well as the rest of my family. I know I'll probably disappoint them all if I dont do the whole 'cap & gown' thing.

I don't want to be selfish, but I also have to look out for myself, too. Just about every decision I make, I always ask my mom or my best friend what they think, and 9 out of 10 times, I go with their opinion. I feel like if I do stay, I'm once again letting someone decide for me and putting my desires below other people's.

If I wont walk, is that selfish? I'm so confused! :/

I think it's something I'd enjoy doing, and I have a lot of time on my hands right now. I don't especially want to get involved with a formal program, but I'm afraid to simply offer here, as the parents would worry that I'm some kind of predator.

I'm not a teacher, but I'm fairly well educated. Due to some health issues, and severe financial limitations, I don't feel as if I'm giving back to society right now, and my brain is my greatest asset, so I think this would be great.

Is it a pipe dream?

Clipperton Island is located at 10°18′N 109°13′W is South of Mexico and West of Costa Rica. Searches on Clipperton island (wikipedia) indicate that Magellan discovered this island, yet it seems far to north for Magellan to have reach in his journey across the pacific. Does anyone know if Magellan took a significantly long dog leg north which is not widely mentioned?

i'm currently a freshmen at a small state school in oklahoma. i just found out that all of my korean friends got into really good schools like ivy league schools, carnegie mellon, vandebilt, nyu, etc. i don't even feel like talking to them anymore because i'm embarrased. i was happy with my decision to attend a state school but i really regret it now. So i was thinking i'll transfer to University of Oklahoma after my freshmen year, and then transfer to a top school after my sophomore year. ofcourse i'll do my best to get straight a's. is this a good idea??? will the top colleges look at me bad if i transfered once already? i never really cared about where i went to college but now i regret the choices i've made so far. also, my parents went to top universities and i think they feel like i'm a disgrace or something. they don't even tell their friends where i went to college. so i have to go to a good school. please help me!! thanks
