I think it's something I'd enjoy doing, and I have a lot of time on my hands right now. I don't especially want to get involved with a formal program, but I'm afraid to simply offer here, as the parents would worry that I'm some kind of predator.
I'm not a teacher, but I'm fairly well educated. Due to some health issues, and severe financial limitations, I don't feel as if I'm giving back to society right now, and my brain is my greatest asset, so I think this would be great.
Is it a pipe dream?

Well, first of all you could give out your website so they can give or ask you questions about their homework. Like a homework web help site for kids. Good luck!
