I am a volunteer teacher in old Mexico, and the classroom they gave me has an old chalkboard. The school is a non-profit school designed to help underprivileged children. There is NO money for new boards. Is there any way to re-use the old ones? HELP!!! It's for a great cause!!

I am looking for research study results that show the prime hours of class study for university students. I teach at a university in Japan and the anministration has formed a curriculum in which students class schedules are so packed, they have only two free periods per week. They have moved most of the required classes from their fourth year to third year and spread out the other classes over the first three years so they don't really have to come to school in the fourth year and can therefore concentrate on finding a job. I hate the system and want a solid basis to back me up when I file an official complaint with the administration. Please help.

I attended a learning disability class for most of my school years growing up. Through my experience I've found fear and bitterness towards the education system as a whole. Ironically, I now teach english abroad, and my wife is now pregnant with our first child.
Have you found college worth it - or is it just a title?

Recently I lost out in a job that I was more qualified for than the other aplicants. This was caused on the fact that I haven't gotten a diploma or GED. The qualification/piece of paper has never been missed in previous job intrests, yet when I knew this job required one I put everything i had into it... When I took the pretest the other day I "Aced" it, but cant take the final test for a month cause the schools are all closed till september.

So my question is... if you were an employer, would a GED be an important factor to you (in compairison to being an average dropout)
