7x^2 - 5x - 2 = 0

I need to know how this transforms to (7x-2)(x-1)=0
I know if i foil this out ill get the original. I want to know how do i do it algebriacly instead. Like some steps, thanks

hes 17 and he was driving with his gf in the front seat and his best friend behind him in the back. he was speeding and going way to fast and lost control and hit another car. the guy in the other car died. as well as his best friend in the back seat died. him and his gf were in critical condition but theyre fine now. i heard hes facing vehicular homicide charges. i was just wondering how serious this is. hes a very very good kid he has a spotless record. he turns 18 in october is that bad? someone told me about him being "tried as an adult" or something. im just wondering what kind of punishment hes looking at..he was being sued by one of the familys but they decided to drop the charges. all i know is hes facing vehicular homicide now and im wondering how serious that and its punishment is?

I'm a senior and I'm trying to decide what college to attend. I never imagined choosing to be sooo hard. I also never imagined that I would still be unsure of what I want to do in life! There's a big part of me that wants to design clothing and go to a design or art school. There's also a part of me that wants to go into the wild and save the environment. And there is this OTHER part of me that wants to learn Japanese and live in Japan... I'm about ready to just give up and live with my parents until I die. I used to want to go to The University of Utah (I dont really know why, I just love Salt Lake), then I also want to go to Parsons New School of Design or Savannah College of Art and Design. And my grandparents want me to go to U of Puget Sound (?!?!?!) I've never even been to Washington! Luckily, I don't have to worry about paying for the college, I just have to choose one! But I have no idea how to begin to choose one... Does anyone have any advice? Please? : (

I am having difficulty in understand the calculations for break-even point and degree of operation leverage - please help!

Local catering sells 50-pound bags of popcorn to schools for $10 a bag. The fixed costs of this operation is $80,000, while variable costs of popcorn are .10 per pound.

What is the break even point?
Calculate profit or loss on 12,000 bags and on 25,000 bags.
What is the degree of operating leverage at 20,000 bags and at 25,000 bags?

If someone can assist me in learning this, I would appreciate it.
