My school before was private and I had been friends with everyone since 3rd grade. I was pretty popular so it really wasn't a problem then but now I'm getting nervous about meeting people. Any ideas???

Be yourself. be social and nice. dont tell people your a freshmen.

So funny. I went to a private school K-8. When I was a freshman all of a sudden in a public school, I WAS CRAZY. All the students there were never subjected to the strict rules you have to adhere to in private school. I used jokes my first few days to break the ice with kids I shared classes with. I said hello, and with my private school good manners, was positive and friendly.
They don't know you. You don't know them. What you do in the big world is true of high school. First impressions make a big difference. Being a freshman seems scary, but it is also a new oppurtunity to change everything.

Just get out there! Join clubs that you're interested in; you'll meet tons of people with similar interests. Make friends with the people in your classes and hang out with them to "study" or whatever. Good luck and have fun!!

ok klutz pretend u trip over a shoe lace and fall on the floor during crowded hall or something' u 'll meet all the nice people helping u get back up

Join a club--join the yearbook or school newspaper--take up a sport. Anything where there are lots of people that you can get to know.

keep on keepin on....dont let groups and stereotypes change your mind on anything....do what you want and people will accept that.
