in my class,i just speak broken English,but sometimes i learn from my mistakes. i dont care n dont bother them bcoz my teacher said i have to speak,listen and read about English,dont bother when people make laugh. yeah i think if i already clever,why need i go to school..i go to school because i want to learn what the thing i dont know right??,,i love my teacher.

I just heard on the news that the Katy, Texas teacher who taped a student's mouth last year and got fired is now going to get paid $40,000. It was either that or have the district re-instate her. I mean that was wrong to tape the kid's mouth. She deserved to be fired and now she's getting paid a year's salary for free?
This will open doors for teachers to think they can get money for reprehensible behavior.
I think it's a disgrace that they paid her anything!
What do you teachers or educators think about this verdict?

I'm a qualified CELTA English teacher and have done this many times before - for my Taiwanese friends (for free).

5 Taiwanese MA students studying in the UK have asked me to proof read their work. They want to know how much I charge per 1000 words.

I can correct grammatical errors and make sure the thesis has a clear structure; however, I'm not an expert at the particular fields they specialise in. Considering this, how much should I charge?

I am doing my Internship with a company. My "Boss", is "exploiting my services", by making us work for him like hell, giving unreachable targets and doing rather low jobs. We are not able to do anything since he is the one who gives us our appraisal/marks at the end of our internship. We are saturated by his pressure as we cannot do anything about it.
