If it's a zero with a backslash through it, it's still a zero. It makes it more legible.

But to confuse things... in some Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian), they have an extra vowel (ø or Ø). It's pronounced rougly like 'i' in bird and is considered a unique letter in their alphabets.

It means it is a zero. Some people cross their 7's as well, so it doesn't look like a half written T.

Don t know,I had to put a serial number on my computer to start a game upland it had an o with a slash through it and I did not know whether it was a number or a letter so couldn t start game up. Why do they complicate things
