You probably should have done some proof reading before you posted this one....
You know what they say about people in glass houses. Or do you?

Because they can. They use slang. It's a mistake. GEEZ! NOONE'S PERFECT! SOME PEOPLE DON'T HAVE SPELL CHECK SUCH AS MY OLD A** COMPUTER! It's originality. YOU CAPITALIZE THE WORDS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SENTENCE! THE APOSTROPHE GOES BEFORE THE 'T'! See, you messed yourself. I HATE when people make a big deal out of lil things like you did. I am making a big deal because it's petty like you think you're better than everyone. People will spell correctly when they feel they need too. This is just the internet.

Because people no longer care. Even your self-confessed mania for accuracy has let through a missing capital letter at the beginning of a sentence and "Cant' " instead of "Can't "
Also there is an element of this:-
I halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plane lee marques four my revue
Miss steaks aye ken knot sea
Eye ran this poem threw it
Your sure reel glad two no
It's vary polished in it's weigh
My chequer tolled me sew
A chequer is a bless sing
It freeze yew lodes of thyme
It helps me awl stiles two reed
And aides mi when aye rime
To rite with care is quite a feet
Of witch won should be proud
And wee mussed dew the best wee can
Sew flaws are knot aloud
And now bee cause my spelling
is checked with such grate flare
Their are know faults with in my cite
Of nun eye am a wear
Each frays come posed up on my screen
Eye trussed to be a joule
The chequer poured o'er every word
To cheque sum spelling rule
That's why aye brake in two averse
My righting wants too pleas
Sow now ewe sea wye aye dew prays
Such soft wear for pea seas

Spelling had got worse over time, I think that there is less of an emphasis on it at School and many rely on Spell Check and then don't use it.
Your question should read as follows: -
Why are there so many spelling mistakes on this site? Can't anyone who answers these questions spell?
Let him without sin cast the first stone....

Well let us see here.
Your first mistake is not capitalizing your W in the word why.
Your second mistake is placing the ' in the wrong place in the word Can't.
Your third mistake is the following sentence:
"Cant' anyone spell that answer these questions?"
What exactly were you trying to ask? That whole sentence construction is incorrect.
Next time you want to put on your "high n' mighty" hat, make sure you don't look like an idiot in the process.

What a fantastic bunch of answers to this question!
It always interests me how so many of us (myself included) get hung up on spelling & grammar here - I think it's something to do with feeling superior....and let's face it, it's much easier to be critical than to see the good in others (the twin towers took years to build but minutes to demolish.....how did I get onto that?!).
In the grand scheme of things the odd spelling mistake really should be forgivable - particularly on a site like this - this is a leisure pursuit after all - we are not writing essays.

There are too many people that are too 'lax' with their typing.
I'm a Secretary by trade and very fastidious about my spelling and grammar (especially someone else's).
Why don't people just use the spell check button? Saves lots of grief when anyone's trying to understand what you've typed!!
Check out the link - if you feel the same way:
It's a book called 'Eats Shoots and Leaves' all about spelling and grammar in today's world.

I like things spell ed correctly too. sometimes I'm in a rush to write an answer and forget to spell check. It's not that people can't spell it's sometimes because they are thinking about what they're writing and not how to spell.
Misspellings can usually be understood, unlike the poor English of some people.

Cause they get in a hurry and put fingers on wrong key, or they don't care to make since.
Me I look over what I typed, if the words don't look right then I do spell check. Sometimes I do mess up, make mistakes.. Not perfect.
