Put down the pipe, and get a job. Or go to school and clean up your act, best thing Iearned in college was that I know absolutely nothing when I thought I knew it all.

Yes. College not only gives you a career, but also helps you develop a sense of self. Also, what you have learned can never be taken away by anybody else. A degree is more valuable than anything else on this Earth. There are many people in your place who would go to college without a doubt if they even have the option that you do. So, take it. There is nothing to lose, and only a life to gain.

Depends -- what goals have you set for yourself in life and where do you see yourself in say, five years?

For me, I found College enjoyable, studied hard, got Honors Degrees, and found a very worthwhile career. I ended up a single parent, and if I did NOT have that college behind me already (and a good career) I could have NEVER been able to walk away from a bad situation and be able to be a responsible parent for my children. So yes, I enjoyed it, but that was part of my life goals.

You should if you want to. There are many benefits of going to college but yes costs are a big concern. But there are many ways besides loans to pay for your education. If you want to further your education and have a better chance at a bright future with a good and secure job, go to college and stick through it. *hopes rosco is being sarcastic*

What are your interests? There are alot of jobs avalible that don't require college and there are alot of jobs that require college. I know alot of people who are just sitting through college to get a degree when a job training program might be better.

I think you need to be a little more specific to get a better answer.

It's overrated. Get a job and get some experience instead. College will help, but you have to deal with increasing tuition costs and student loans, so it may not be worthwhile unless you really want that degree.

Hey- why bother? I am 54 years old, I never went to college, and I'm making $9.00/hr!
Shoot - while other folks are spending 3,4,5 years going to school, you could be working and make as much as10 -12 thousand a year!
