Recently I lost out in a job that I was more qualified for than the other aplicants. This was caused on the fact that I haven't gotten a diploma or GED. The qualification/piece of paper has never been missed in previous job intrests, yet when I knew this job required one I put everything i had into it... When I took the pretest the other day I "Aced" it, but cant take the final test for a month cause the schools are all closed till september.

So my question is... if you were an employer, would a GED be an important factor to you (in compairison to being an average dropout)

Yes at least a GED but I prefer an actual diploma.
Even some college is a hundred times better.

Get it! A GED or diploma is a valuable asset. While it may not have been a factor in previous jobs, the direction of the world is one requiring education of some sort. At the very least, a GED will distinguish you from other candidates.

Sorry, I am not an employer, but I have a GED. I have never been turned down because of my GED. It is supposed to be an equivalent of a high school diploma. So, take the test. Pass it, and you will not be considered a dropout, simply because you went that extra mile.
