In Dec. of 2004 the total was 21 billion dollars in contracts for Haliburton in Iraq. That's all I could find right now.

THE TRUTH IS THAT NONE OF US KNOW HOW MUCH IS REALLY BEING MADE. AND SECONDLY, NONE OF YOU, ESPECIALLY THE PERSON ASKING THE QUESTION, CAN SAY ANYTHING ABOUT WHO DOES WHAT BETTER. THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT NONE OF YOU HAVE BEEN THERE, AND I HAVE. AND I CAN TELL YOU NOW THE GREEDY CIVILIANS OVER THERE, COULDN'T FIND THEIR A** WITH BOTH HANDS AND A FLASHLIGHT. THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING BETTER THAN THE MILITARY DOES. IN FACT, ALL I EVER SAW THOSE CIV'S DOING WAS COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT MAKING MORE MONEY TO DO EVEN LESS THAN THEY ALREADY DO. THE ONLY CIVILIANS OVER THERE ACTUALLY DOING ANY WORK ARE THE TCN'S(THIRD-COUNTRY-NATIONALS). THESE ARE PEOPLE FROM POOR COUNTRIES LIKE SRI LANKA, AND PAKISTAN AND PLACES LIKE THAT, THAT COME THERE TO MAKE A FEW PENNIES TO SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES BACK HOME. THEY MAKE SO LITTLE, IT IS ALMOST LIKE SERVITUDE. THEY HAVE ENOUGH TO LIVE AND TO SEND SOME TO THEIR FAMILIES SO THEY DON'T STARVE TO DEATH. BUT NOT ENOUGH TO EVER REALLY SAVE UP FOR A PLANE TICKET TO LEAVE. OBVIOUSLY THE ASKER OF THIS QUESTION IS A "BUSINESS" PERSON, AND ISN'T MAN ENOUGH TO STEP UP AND SERVE LIKE THE REST OF US. I START MY SECOND TOUR IN 2 WEEKS, AND IT IS BECAUSE THE CIVILIANS TREATED US LIKE GARBAGE OVER THERE, THAT I COULDN'T POSSIBLY CARE ANY LESS THAN I ALREADY DO ABOUT ANY OF THEM THAT RISK THEIR LIVES BECAUSE OF THEIR GREED. AND LASTLY, THE REAL WINNERS OF THE WAR IN IRAQ ARE THE WORLD CORPORATIONS OWNED BY THE FEW. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE MILITARY BEING THERE, THE CIVILIANS WOULDN'T HAVE JOBS OVER THERE. AND THAT'S THE WAY I SAW IT.

All I know is that American Companies saved "us" taxpayers ALOT of money. Private companies can do the work faster, cheaper, and safer.
_______
Zatte, I am aware of that. But no matter how you look at it, We are saving a TON of money by employing Private industry.

Hey jose what you are saying doesnt necessarily mean anything u know. Actually to give you an estimate is not going to mean anything either, because money is still being spent, so an estimate today is nothing comparing to an estimate tomorrow.
