Please, with knowledge and wisdom, answer the question I so dearly need an answer for. I've lived in a small suburb and went to school with the same people since kindergarten and had the same bestfriend and boyfriend since middle school. Now it's time for college and the best college to go to is Stanford but thats half way across the USA from where I live. My guy keeps telling me to stay and go to a community college and my BFF thinks I should go with her to some other college but thats still away from the people I care about. What should I do- opinions and answers please?

I havent started college yet, but I know that i've always loved acting and know that i would want to major in theatre, but also I think I should major in something else. I dont want to do anything in business, but I would want to do a job thats fun. I've heard that double majoring with theatre is hard, but I would like to do it. And I know i could teach theatre, but wouldnt want to. Any suggestions. Thanks

In school, we didn't learn alot of history, but memorized the facts (dates, names, etc.). We, as parents, tell kids to learn from their mistakes. How do we know what mistakes we might be repeating? I want to learn, and teach my kids, more about WHY things are, what lead to today, why major events in history occurred. Any suggestions? Reading, movies, etc.

Thanks!!
