You could make A choice, but you wouldn't be able to make an EDUCATED choice unless you had all the knowledge necessary to make the decision.

Looking at the polls, it seems like a lot of people chose sides without knowing anything.

Is it ethical? Depends on the consequences of what you're choosing. I don't believe its unethical to have an uninformed opinion.

And then there's the question of how much do you have to know to be considered informed.
