I work in a restaurant as a waiter. Do people that tip less than the standard 15-20% not know how to tip or just don't believe good or excellent service from a waiter (or waitress) to be worth that percentage? All opinions are welcome...

I remember seeing an article in the New York Times about a restaurant (I forget where) but the staff purposely insult the customers ... I mean, people go there knowing they will be insulted. It's like the theme of the restaurant or something, and it was saying how some people give big tips for being insulted more!

I know it sounds crazy, but I did see this so I'm wondering if anyone knows the name of it and where it is?

I think it does. I have been there about five times and feel like I've wasted my money every time I leave. You're supposed to go out to eat for good food; theirs is not.

I had the bacon cheesburger thinking it's not possible to mess it up, yet they did. Their salad is not good and neither is anything else they make.

I just don't understand how it is always filled when I go. I don't know if people understand that there are alterniatives, much better alternatives; like Chilli's.

What do y'all think?

Have you ever walked out of a restaurant without paying? What was your excuse for doing a "dine and dash"? Did it bother you that the server had to pay for the food you eat out of his/her tips?

Three of us when out to eat at a well known restayraunt and when we got back to my house everyone was really sick (if ya know what I mean). I was wondering, should I call them and complain, or should I just let it go?

If they don't have what you are craving you can always try another place without ever going outside your home! Just great service for all of us without using any gas or wear and tear on the car. And you can get the youngsters orders ahead of time from your favorite fast food joint as well....

Believe me I did!

I braved it a couple of months ago and went to the IHOP. We had to wait in line and I was standing where I could see the waiters and waitresses and they were picking the bacon and sausage off the plates with their bare hands and rearrangeing them on the plates. Needless to say I didn't eat any bacon or sausage; but then again they probably dropped my pancakes on the ground before they brought them to me. I think about this when I watch the movie Waiting. (although I have gotten sick from my own cooking, ha ha)

I've always wanted to try some white food, like from Nebraska, but I can't find any places that serve it. Are there any chains, or local places (Newark, NJ area) that serve white people food? I tried making some corn on the cob and rice krispies squares out of packets, but I want the really authentic stuff.

everywhere you go, there is signs for roasted peanuts joints, and there is those Waffle House all over the place. Big yellow and black block signs by the highway for Waffle House. What's with all that stuff down there?
