I ordered food from a pizza place. The bill is $10.55.

Standard answer is 15%. Unless there is good service, then give more, or poor service then leave less. Two cents is a good message for very poor serfvice.

I have been a server all of my like it seems and the worst thing you can do is leave a bad tip... so here are some tips for you:
at an average restaurant leave 20% of the ENTIRE bill(tax included) - unless you had REALLY bad service
For a to-go order leave at least 10%, togo people make no money and people often stiff them - they put the food together in the bags for you so show them some love!
for a fine dining resaurant - 3 star and above - tip 20% on the amount before tax Some people tip on the amount before tax and before the bottle of wine(if ordered) so if the bill was $300 total and the tax was, lets say $50 and the wine was, lets say $50, then you would tip on a $200 amount - $40.00
As for your pizza dinner I would have left $5- I never tip below $5. but 20% would be $2.11

If the bill is $10.55, I would give them a $3 tip..... you gotta figure in the gas to get here, and the tip for delivery!

it's 15% normally but 10% maybe if your a struggling student or something and 20 to 25% for excellent service. The way you figure it out without too much math is the tip will always be a little less than tripple the tax...the bigger the tax the more you take off.
So just tripple the tax and round down to nearest dollar on smaller bills and down to nearest 5 dollars on huge bills.

You should at the very minimum tip about 18% but however if you recieve exceptional service up the tip.

I would tip 15%. If they deliver it I usually throw in a litte more, especially if bad weather to be driving. I figure tehy risk driving when I don't want to.

I usually pay a 10-20% tip. You should pay probably $2.00.

Depends on if there's a delivery charge. If there is, I don't tip. Why pay twice?
