interstates and fast food...

Good question. We take approx 2 to 3 trips a year. And we have 3 kids. Unless you get off the interstate and find a nice set down dining restaurant. You usually have to go with either fast food or truck stops. Most places focus on the quantity of getting dinners than the quality. But I have also noticed a decline in the quality of food at restaurants such as IHOP, Denny's etc.. Just about every chain has declined.

With more & more fast food restaurants popping up along the interstates & freeways, its much easier to stop in & order, then back on the road again. I have always liked the Mom & Pop cafes, they we're small yet they served good food, unfortunately, not much publicity wise as far as advertising their presence, so thus the decline.

The decline is that nearly everything is a chain restaurant these days.

They're usually not as clean as other restaurants, and they don't spend as much money on advertising, so fewer people know they're out there.
