I think it does. I have been there about five times and feel like I've wasted my money every time I leave. You're supposed to go out to eat for good food; theirs is not.

I had the bacon cheesburger thinking it's not possible to mess it up, yet they did. Their salad is not good and neither is anything else they make.

I just don't understand how it is always filled when I go. I don't know if people understand that there are alterniatives, much better alternatives; like Chilli's.

What do y'all think?

It definitely depends on the person. I know a lot of people who like Applebee's, but I totally agree with you. Everytime I leave I feel like I've wasted my money too. I have gotten many different kinds of entrees there and all of them have tasted bad. It isn't hard to make good food. I wonder why they are so bad at it. They food doesn't need to be amazing, we just shouldn't be leaving thinking about how bad it was.

Some Applebees are better than others. They use lots of salt to make everything taste good and have you drink more. It is basically bar food. They have a good concept. I have never been two impressed with their food. The service is just ok. They have a nice kids menu, desserts are good. Last time I was there I ordered chips and salsa and I thought that they were really good. The other thing I ordered a quesadilla burger was really salty, the meat was not a great quality, and I found myself eating the chips and salsa instead. I asked the server if she liked what I had ordered and she said oh yes, we just can't cook enough of them. Just depends on your preference. Chilis is good!!!

The Applebee's near me is really good. They have good food and good staff, and I really like the Weight Watcher's menu. The one near me though is one of the better one's where I live. We have about 7 in the whole Raleigh area, and I went to another one once and it was really bad and slow service. As for Chili's, I have only been there once and it was just average.

It really depends on the manager, staff and chefs in that particular location. It's the same at any restaurant chain. Some locations will be better than others.

I think Applebee's is to over priced where i live so i do not go there. Just for myself to eat out and have a drink it cost right around 30.00 . The only reason why I know that is that i just ate there a few weeks ago.

I've eaten at Applebee's in ND, MT and CA. The one in CA was awful and we tried it twice thinking the first time was a fluke but it was bad the second time so we never went back. The one in ND and MT were really good and we frequently ate there then. Maybe it has to do with management and who's cooking???

I think most of the "box" restaurants suck. Applebees, TGIFridays, Chilis, etc. They all get their food from the same place and simply heat them up from frozen.

Check out your local restaurants - support a struggling chef with talent. You'll be amazed at the difference in the quality of food.

Applebee's is my favorite family restaurant. They got great bacon cheeseburgers and chicken tenders. I also love their mozzerella Sticks. Plus they got some good alcoholic drinks like mudslides and bahama mamas. Applebee's does not suck at all.

I've had issues with them in the past, but I have recently found their margarita's- which have been consistantly good. They also have great queso. That's all I've tried recently. My dad hated them so much that we never went their after I was like, 7. And on my own I've found those 2 items I'm willing (and happy) to eat.

I hate Applebee's. It tastes disgusting. The food tastes like they just took it out of a bag from the freezer and fried it in bad grease. And there is a lot of fat on everything like chicken strips and gristles in the burgers. Ugh. It gives me food poisoning everytime I go there, which is almost never. My mom said its not "eatin' good in the neighborhood', its 'eatin' crap in the neighborhood' :P
