Is there a way that I can build (without buying something premade) an adapter so I can hook up my DVD player to a computer monitor? I'm looking for something that would convert RCA, S-Video, or component into a VGA signal.

I have a 3 year old Panasonic ED plasma tv. When I turn it on the colors are only green, white, and pink. After about 30 minutes the color comes in normally. This has been going on for about a year now. Sometimes, the color won't come in correctly all day. I tried unplugging the unit to see if the system will reset itself, but no luck. I haven't taken it to a repair shop because I'm not looking forward to pulling it off the wall, plus it weighs about 80lbs and is quite bulky. Of course, I know I will eventually have to do it. What could be the problem and does anyone have an idea what it will cost to repair. Thanks, Robert

I plan on buying a Playstation 3 when it comes out and want to buy a high definition TV with it and I saw on Bestbuy's website that I can get a 20" flat panel HD-Ready TV for $400. So I am wondering what exactly HD-Ready means. Because it has the true HD resolution (1080p) and I just want to make sure that I can watch my DirecTV and play the PS3 in High Definition.

I have to flick it on 7 or 8 times before it will stay on around 20 minutes or so. Is this an easy to remedy problem that won't cost much to repair, or do I have to have a costly part to fix this problem?

my tv likes to defualy to having cc on, and the only way to turn it off again is to use the remote that came with the tv, that's rather annoying, espcialy since I use a universal remote since I got a DVR I don't need the tv's remote for anything besides that.

also other then the annoying cc issue the tv works great. so I'd rahter not go through the hassle of taking the tv down from the 2nd floor apartment and lugging a new one up there if I don't have to.

What a hard decision.
Maybe Salute your Shorts, or Double Dare, or Wild and Crazy Kids, or Rocco's Modern Life, Or Are your Afriad of the dark?.
Maybe it is Hey Dude, or Wienerville.
How about Nick News or any other favorites.
I wanna know your opinion, if there are any i forgot please tell me

When you turn on the TV the TV will flicker on and off. We have unplugged the TV for 5 minutes 10, 20, 30, and 24 hours. But the TV continues to flicker on and off. It will come on and as soon at the picture adjusts it will go off.

the set has only co-axial inputs, no a/v. i cannot afford a new tv as i am an aged pensioner. i was told by a store that i could get a box, and an RF converter, but it would not provide the quality needed. can you suggest a box that will do the job without too much loss of pic quality.

I am looking for either a 42" or 50" plasma and see tons of good prices from brands like Vizio and Olevia, but don't want to end up with voided warranty and manufacturer going out of business
