The first TV remote was able to move on it's own and refuse to change channels......
I think Laziness must have came first.

First remotes were called Kids!

Wow! At first I thought this was a simple question, but now that I look at it, it is not.
I think that TV remotes came before laziness. Before remotes, people did not care that they had to get up to adjust the channel or volume. The television itself was a great piece of technology to them, and they really did not care about having to get up.
But then...someone just had to invent the remote control. This new generation had the power of the TV dials in the palm of their hands and did not even have to get up to change the channel. But then, laziness started. Now people do not want to get up to change the channel. I know in my house, we spend more time actually looking for the remote than it would take to just get up and change the channel right on the TV. I bet you, soon this feature will disappear altogether, and all we will have are remote controls!

I think that Laziness was. Because the tv was invented what in the 20's and you had to get up everytime you wanted to change the station, so by the time remotes were invented, Laziness had already set in.

Laziness, that is how the first British colonies on the east coast failed. They were used to a industrialized society and worked less than 6 hours a day. This lazy work ethic is what caused the first colonies to fail.

Laziness led to the invention of the TV remote, plus the wheelbarrow, microwave ovens, and automatic transmissions.

Necessity might be the mother of invention, but his daddy's name is laziness.
